Cultural Life Series: Rachel Herz, Ph.D.

Neuroscientist Rachel Herz, Ph.D., will discuss "Why You Eat What You East: A Taste of Some Surprising Sensory
and Psychological Factors." She has been conducting research on the sense of smell, emotion, perception, motivated behavior and cognition since 1990. Herz is a TEDx speaker, has published over 90 original research papers, received numerous awards and grants, co-authored scholarly handbooks, and is an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Brown University and part-time faculty in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at Boston College.
